Factory sourcing guide
From a hose reference to a production-ready order
A practical checklist for importers, distributors and project buyers. Agree the technical scope first, then compare a quotation on the same basis.
01 · Prepare your RFQ
| Step | Information |
|---|---|
| Identify the service | Water, slurry, sand or other medium; solids concentration, maximum particle size and chemistry. |
| Define the route | Inside diameter, length, installation bend, movement, dragging and connection locations. |
| Describe the duty | Working pressure, surge, vacuum, temperature and pump / service cycle. |
| Define the ends | Flange standard, face, PCD, holes and material, or a complete coupling specification. |
| Plan the order | Quantity per size / length, destination and spare or repeat-supply requirements. |
02 · Compare on the same basis
Confirm the commercial scope
- Price basis and named location: EXW or FOB as agreed in the quotation.
- Quantity and MOQ for each reference, including any mixed-order arrangement.
- Any tooling, sampling, inspection and packaging cost.
- Sample and production timing after the agreed approvals.
- Packing plan, estimated shipment weight / volume and required shipping documents.
03 · Before bulk production
Approve a defined sample
- Confirm the drawing revision, dimensions, material and reinforcement.
- Check fitment or mating connections against the actual installation.
- Agree performance requirements and the inspection / test scope.
- Approve marking, customer logo, labels and packaging.
- Keep the approved specification as the reference for repeat orders.
04 · Documentation
Ask for the documents your order needs
Request the technical data for the quoted construction and any agreed inspection or test records. For shipping, confirm the commercial invoice, packing list and other destination-specific documents with the sales team. A general product page is not a test certificate or a confirmed dimensional drawing.
MOQ, lead time and sample availability
These depend on the product, tooling status, construction, quantity and packaging. They are confirmed in the specific quotation. Send an itemized reference or size schedule so each line can be reviewed.
